The Daiwa 22 Seaborg 500MJ-AT boasts a powerful MAGMAX motor with instant power and torque; it's durable aluminum build ensures excellent heat dissipation and durability. The MEGATWIN-PRO gear shift system gives comfortable, reliable performance with no shift shock. The tough ATD drag delivers consistent performance for handling larger catches, while the one-hand aluminum JOG power lever gives you instant control. The fall brake dial allows for quick setting of drop-speed, while the large dot display LCD is easily visible, even when wearing polarized sunglasses. The 500MJ-AT is even waterproof and comes equipped with the NEW Free-Spool Clutch System and Automatic Shelf Stop Function for a monster performance on any target.

The motor housing is crafted from aluminum which provides superior heat dissipation, improving motor durability while increasing the breaker operating range. Similarly to the 19SB500MJ, the motor features power tuning for customized performance.
Smooth gear changes create minimal shock when shifting from SPEED to POWER, allowing for manual control under the angler's initiative. A change in LED color on the IC counter reflects the activation of the Mega Twin function, while the LED lights up green when the clutch is ON and red when OFF.
The brake system on Daiwa 22 Seaborg 500MJ-AT allows users to quickly and precisely adjust the drop speed fromMinimum to Maximum (Seal 1 to 10) with a 180-degree turn of the dial. This adjustable drop speed helps to eliminate backlash and ensures that bait is caught mid-fall when used for drop-in fishing, aiding in achieving the perfect hookup.

This instantaneous operation helps prevent backlash. Additionally, this motor can be set to an or a "free-spool click sound," both of which come in four varieties, so users can identify which rod is set up on the same boat by sound.

【Automatic shelf stop】
Equipped with a clutch sensor, the Daiwa 22 Seaborg 500MJ-AT provides automatic shelf stop setting to improve fishing results. This automatic operation enables fishing while maneuvering the boat. The shelf memo feature allows users to press the shelf at which they want to stop; when launched again, the reel will automatically stop at the same shelf. Additionally, the user can pre-set the shelf stop designation on the menu screen so the reel will automatically stop at the designated shelf. The bottom automatic stop detects the bottom (spool rotation stop) and switches the clutch on. This works in tandem with the shakri setting to initiate shakri operation after the shelf stops.

■JOG POWER LEVER
By relocating the power lever and revamping it from a lever to a jog dial design, winding and engaging/disengaging the reel is now easily achieved with just one's thumb while the other hand remains unoccupied. This "Jog Power Lever" allows for greater dexterity and maneuverability (200/300J series); the Seaborg 500-1200J series provides co-operative operation with the thumb of the left hand and power lever of the right. Water and foreign matter intrusion is prevented, thus reducing rust, salt, and noise. This boosts waterproofness and durability. The spool shaft axis, which is challenging to maintain, has been implemented in electric reels for salt-resistance.
